If I would have to choose only one restaurant for the next few years to visit, the answer is clear. The Grounds of Alexandria in a magic restaurant, it stole my heart with its beautiful decoration from the first step I did there 3 years ago! Since then I have visited the place countless times and here is why!
Experience a fairy tale
The Grounds of Alexandria is a café, restaurant, bakery, florist shop, sometimes a market and a home to a farm animals. All in one place! In the industrial part of the city, the owners have created the most green and nature look I could ever imagine. All things consider that would be enough to make this place one of the best but…there is more to that!
Every few months The Ground of Alexandria changes into a different fairy tale. The place is known for its special decorations. It might be related to the season and holidays (like Christmas, Easter) or released new movie! So far I have seen too many beautiful set up from ‘Frozen’, ‘The Rocket Man’ to Candyland, Easter Bunny and recently Marrakech vibes.

As I mentioned before this is a quite big restaurant area, with different sections. There is The Café, inside place perfect for breakfast or lunch. There is The Garden, beautiful outside area with tables under the plants. On the other side there is The Potting Shed restaurant, where you can enjoy your meals with the company of Fluffy!
In addition to food areas mentioned above there are also venues dedicated for private bookings (birthdays, weddings, you name your celebration!), the flower shop and corner with goats and chickens. It absolutely make a vibe in there, and the children love it too.

Hungry and thirsty?
This is the right place to come! Compare to other restaurant, you can find variety of food options here, as each area serves different menu. I like the bowls in The Café, pizza from The Garden, but my top one is The Potting Shed. Loved the food here, so every time I visit , I like to share meals to have a bit of everything.
Usually with the theme of the decorations, few new things come in the menu – could be a drink, dish or a cake (or all of them). All in all, The Ground of Alexandria is a must see place. You just simply have to go and experience it yourself!
In addition there is also a branch of The Grounds in The City, on George Street. The menu there is bit different, but same quality.
