Sydney`s most iconic building – Opera House. It amazes me each time I visit Sydney Harbour. I will never ever get bored with this view, it’s just beautiful. All the events happening at The Opera you can check on the official website here.
You might want to take a great photo with Sydney Opera House and here I come to give you some tips!
1. Opera Bar
The photo shot from here will be great in busy night or as well as in early morning, when it’s empty.
2. Walkway to Opera Bar
The photo will be similar to above No.1, but from a bit of a distance. This will give you different perspective on the Opera.
3. Opera House stairs
The close look at the Opera and it`s white shells. The photo angle options are almost unlimited, so you can take actually many unique photos without moving from the location.
4. Royal Botanic Gardens
Just passing the gate to the Gardens from Sydney Harbour you can make a stunning photo right at the beginning. The more you walk here more great photo opportunities you will find. Don’t forget to walk around Miss Macquarie Chair.
5. Ferry ride
Take a ferry to Watsons Bay or Manly and you will see Opera House from all the possible perspectives.
6. Park Hyatt Sydney
The key to capture a great photo is to adjust your camera in the way that you will see Opera House reflection in the windows of the hotel. Personally, I love the night photos in this location.
7. The Rocks
Just sit on the bench opposite side of the Opera, before MCA Gallery.
8. Shangri-la Hotel
If you are the guest of the hotel and have Sydney Harbour window view, you can get creative and make amazing photos. Alternative place for Sydney Opera House photo is from level 36 in Altitude Restaurant or Blu Bar. Enjoy the food and drinks.
9. Copes Lookout
The views from the other side of the Harbour Bridge is beautiful! If you want, you can get two Sydney’s iconic marvels in the same photo – Opera House and Harbour Bridge (just need o take a different angle than I did on photo below).
10. Cremorne Point
Cremorne is another great suburb to admire Sydney Harbour view. You can get the full Sydney skyline on your shoot with Opera House along with Harbour Bridge. I recommend sunset picnic time!
